Michael Donovan

BDS (Lon) DGDP RCS (Eng)

GDC: 60315

Michael qualified from University College Hospital London, Dental Hospital in 1985, and spent seven years working as an associate before buying the practice in Petworth in 1992. He began studying orthodontics in 1991 and, since then, he has continued to develop this aspect of his practice. Michael believes orthodontic treatment should be carried out without extractions, wherever possible, to maintain the correct shape and size of the jaw, and to improve the final facial profile. He also works closely with osteopaths and chiropractors in this regard.

In 1997, Michael gained his Diploma in General Dental Practice from the Royal College of Surgeons in London, being one of the first in the country to attain this qualification. In 2006, he moved the practice from Market Square to its current modern premises, located on the corner of Middle Street.

He has a special interest in orthodontics and restorative dentistry, and continues to broaden and update his knowledge by committing to further postgraduate training.

There were many opportunities in her Service career to work in a variety of dental centres around the UK and abroad – a particular highlight being enjoying the sunny climes of Hong Kong, where she met her future husband.

Finally, the time came for Jacqueline to settle down and leave the Service, and she again found herself working in a number of different dental environments: a Dental Specialist Centre, a Hygiene Direct Access Centre and in General Practice.

If some of our patients think Jacqueline looks familiar, they are probably right, as she worked at the practice between 2001 and 2004 and then joined us again in 2017. Jacqueline enjoys attending regular professional courses and continuing her dental education.

In her spare time, Jacqueline can be found gardening, cooking, travelling and visiting the theatre.
